THE FRIARS' BOOKSHOP
MORE THAN JUST BOOKS
The Friars' bookshop was established in 2018, and is run by a very generous team of volunteers.
A cosy and charming spot, tucked away in South Melbourne, this is the city’s newest hidden treasure with a good collection of reading material (including some Catholic gems), handmade cards and prints, and other merchandise. Start off with a coffee from the Pietro e Paolo Cafe next door and then head on over to find this space.
The Friars’ Bookshop is more than just a bookshop. It’s a space for a community striving to make a difference. For one thing, 100% of all profits will support the outreach work of the Capuchin Friars, and the work done around the parish.
Secondly, donations of all kinds are welcome at the bookshop! This can be food, clothing and essential items to meet the growing need in South Melbourne and St Kilda, financial contributions to aid the Friars’ critical work or volunteering your time as often or as little as you like to assist with looking after the bookshop and be a part of the wider Capuchin Friars’ outreach community.
Most books are only $3.
